“Sweet XVI”- Parlor Gallery’s 16th Anniversary Party & Sale
Parlor Gallery opened its doors on February 7, 2009, with a vision of creating an inspiring and approachable space to share art and meaningful art experiences with our community. Now, 16 years later, we remain dedicated to providing a platform for artists from across the country and around the world to exhibit their work in our beloved City by the Sea.
When we first opened, Parlor Gallery was one of only a few businesses on the 700 block of Cookman Avenue. To foster creative growth, we rebranded our block as the “Arts Bloc,” hoping to make Asbury Park a recognized destination for the arts.
Over the years, our impact has expanded beyond the gallery walls. We have curated exhibitions throughout the city and beyond, Partnered with Red Bank Design Center and launched art consulting services for hospitality, corporate, and residential spaces, and provided private advisory services for collectors. Additionally, we founded the Wooden Walls Public Art Project, ensuring that art remains accessible to both residents and visitors of Asbury Park.
As we enter our 16th year, our focus is on collaboration—learning from and working alongside those who share our vision. As Asbury Park evolves, creative spaces are disappearing at an alarming rate. Now, more than ever, we are committed to maintaining a space that is inclusive, dynamic, and open to all, ensuring that art remains an integral part of our city’s future.
